It's Christmas once more, the time of year most of the world waits for. The most awaited time, the most exciting part of the months, and the most controversial concept debated endlessly in every nation, creed or culture, even the cause for many political and cultural conflicts. It's also a timely reason to make peace, to give, to share kindness and inspire goodwill. For the secular world, and entrepreneuring spirit, it's an opportunity to thrive in business.
The First Christmas
One question needs to be answered though. The Bible says "And she gave birth to her SON. She wrapped HIM in cloths and placed HIM in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them." (luke2:7). There was a hotel that could have hosted the couple; Mary and Joseph. But there was no place found for them in the inn. It meant no privacy for a woman, about to give birth to the Wonderful Counselor, Mighty GOD, Everlasting FATHER, Prince of Peace, (Isaiah 9:6) The Lord JESUS Christ. Clearly GOD Himself orchestrated the first Christmas in the humblest possible, way not for nonsense.
The Privacy of Their Own Guest Room in the Inn
Had they had a guest room, they would have enjoyed a very delicately feminine privacy of giving birth. They would have kept The Lord JESUS birth private among themselves. No shepherds, no other witnesses, no other creatures around them. The Lord JESUS and the family would have been more comfortable. And the birth scene would not prove as humble as a manger, and exclusive to four walls of a private guest room with no one to share the Good news to.
The Manger, the humblest birthplace
One of the main principles the manger symbolyzes is that This Mighty GOD coming to human flesh, can relate to the humblest situation a man can experience. Ordinary people, rich people can pay for the best medical services, most elite and comfortable facility; maybe somehow they can be detached or stranger to poverty or humble living. The Lord JESUS deliberately chose to be associated to the poor in HIS birth, because HE would preach the Good News to the poor. If you are poor, all kinds of abundant provisions to get you out of the mire, is Good News. The manger also provides a welcoming space for everyone to witness and share. The shepherds to whom the angels and The Bethlehem Star heralded the Divine GOD become Flesh. "The WORD Became Flesh, and made HIS dwelling among us." john 1:14
GOD taking on a human form is a concept too immense for our limited and secularized mind to embrace. The Bible says "GOD IS LOVE." (1jhn4:7) . HE has written a Love story spanning lifetimes of ancient prophets and believers, for us. Documented and supported by archaelogical and scientific evidence. The Lord JESUS gave HIS Life, suffered, died and resurrected. HE healed all who came to HIM, HE provided abundance and peace, protection and wisdom. Everything a man needs to live an abundant. prosperous life.
